Official "Oblivion" Poster.
'Oblivion' is a movie that mixes science fiction with "Tome Cruise" and "Joseph Kosinski". It’s one of those movies, which you enjoy but not fully.

"Tom Cruise".
"Tom Cruise".
After a cataclysmic alien invasion which the humans won but left the earth uninhabitable, a two-person crew that consists of 'Jack Harper'(Tom Cruise) and 'Victoria Olsen'(Elizabeth Olsen) is responsible for protecting the massive resource harvester collector from the attacks of the 'Skavs'. They are being helped by 'Sally'(Melissa Leo), mission commander who lives in the 'Tet', an orbital space station. With two weeks left until they head towards the new planet of the humans 'Titan', 'Jack' starts to ask dangerous questions, which will lead to a dangerous journey of self-discovery, in which he will discover things he never expected. Other characters include 'Julia Rusakova' (Olga Kurylenko), 'Malcolm Beech'(Morgan Freeman), and 'Skyes'(Nikolaj Coster-Waldau).
"Olga Kurylenko" and "Tom Cruise".
"Andrea Riseborough".
The first time I heard of this movie, its director and cast, I got very excited but at the same time cautious. Many were afraid of the end result and that it could be a complete disaster and a waste of time. But by the time the trailers emerged and we saw the movie’s potential, many readjusted their opinions. The final product was enjoyable but still somehow disappointing since as a viewer you expected more from the movie. The story was at many times predictable, and it had less action scenes than we expected. Oddly enough, the characters had good emotional baggage to allow the good flow of the movie.
Bubble Ship.
"Morgan Freeman".
It must be noted that "Joseph Kosinski" has been trying so long to bring his story 'Oblivion', which he co-wrote with "Arvid Nelson", to the big screen. "Joseph Kosinski" is an emerging director that has great potential and who will be one of the greatest directors in the world. His previous major work was only 'Tron: Legacy', which was a success. In this movie, not only does “Kosinski” direct. He played also a major part in producing and writing the movie. And in the end he succeeded with this project. Just like in 'Tron:Legacy', he was able to create this beautiful world, which seemed fascinatingly real.  And here I would like to commend the people who worked on the special effects. They did a great job with the futuristic gadgets and scenery, especially the tower and the bubble ship. The music really enhanced the movie even more, and it had a 'Transformers' and 'DarkKnight Rises' feeling to it.
Earth.
"Morgan Freeman" and "Tom Cruise".
The movie started with a brief flashback scene, which in my opinion could have been put within the movie. After that the beginning part of the movie and "Cruise"'s voiceovers, really helped put the picture in the audience’s mind. It eased us well into what is going on. Still I thought the first sting was too long, with that said, I liked the few encounters that 'Jack' had. It helped with the character’s development. Liked how they entered 'Julia' into the story, but when you can’t wonder in the end why did she appear in that way and at that time. The idea of the resistance was not used to its maximum. My favorite scene was when 'Jack' flew in his bubble ship. You will fell a bit disappointed with the action scenes, since they are few and weren’t mind blowing.
"Tom Cruise".
"Olga Kurylenko".
"Tom Cruise" is an action star no doubt. He has starred in more action and sci-fi movies than you can count with your two hands. Still I would love to see him in different genre. But that doesn’t undermine him as a great action star. When his name is associated with a movie, you automatically get drawn to it and feel like it will be a good movie due to his presence. Here he utilized his experience really well, he was able to lead this movie from start to finish, and the similarities between 'Jack' and other characters he played definitely helped him.
"Andrea Riseborough".
"Morgan Freeman", "Zoe Bell", and
"Nikolaj Coster-Waldau".
"Olga Kurylenko" has been growing as an actress, and being part of this movie will definitely help her with her acting career. I thought she did a good job in this movie, and showed some great acting skills and brought believable emotions to her characters. For me the star of the movie was "Andrea Riseborough". This movie is considered her first big budget movie and I thought she did a great job. She was the only actress who bought me 100% with her character portrayal. And her scenes were very enjoyable and one of the best stuff in the movie. The man in every movie is "Morgan Freeman". Though his character was not properly built and was underused, you can’t but enjoy him. And the resistance idea was really not used in a very way, especially its characters, such as the characters of "Nikolaj Coster-Waldau" and "Zoe Bell".
In the end, 'Oblivion' is not the best science fiction movie of all time, but it doesn’t mean that it is not an enjoyable and worthy movie to watch.
