Review: The Amazing Spider-Man

Review: The Amazing Spider-Man
*Spoilers Alert
Do NOT forget to rate this post when you finish.

Official 'The Amazing Spider-Man' Poster.
"A reboot of Spider-Man?! after just 4 years?! they're crazy! Its definitely gonna fail"! Well whoever said that, after seeing this movie, will regret it since the result was better than anyone could have expected.
"Andrew Garfield".
"Emma Stone".
'Peter Parker'(Andrew Garfield) is your average high school boy, who love photography and is a technology and science 'nerd'. He lives with his Uncle 'Ben Parker'(Martin Sheen) and Aunt 'May Parker'(Sally Field), after his father and mother , 'Richard'(Campbell Scott) and 'Mary Parker'(Embeth Davidtz), left him there just before a plane crash, that lead to their death. He goes to Midtown Science High School, where 'Gwen Stacy'(Emma Stone), his love interest, goes too. She is the daughter of police captain "George Stacy"(Denis Leary). After discovering his father's secret documents, he goes to 'Oscorp' , where he meets Dr. 'Curt Connors'(Rhys Ifans), his father's former partner and friend, who is always threatened by Dr. 'Rajit Ratha'(Irrfan Khan) , his superior and liaison between him and owner of Oscorp, Norman Osbourne. There he is bitten by a genetically modified spider, which allows him to gain strength and power. But after Uncle 'Ben' is killed and after helping Dr. 'Connors' discover a new way to regrow limbs and human tissues, 'Peter' must try to use his new superhero identity 'Spider-Man' and his powers to help save his city and stop Dr. 'Connors'/The Lizzard from spreading fear and chaos into the city, all while being tracked by captain 'Stacy', taking care of his Aunt 'May', and juggling a relationship with his love 'Gwen'.
"Martin Sheen" and "Sally Field".
"Rhys Ifan".
When I learned that 'Sony' decided to reboot rather than plan a sequel to 'Spider-Man 3', I was skeptic about their decision. I wasn't sure of it. But really this film was one of the best superhero movies I have seen. For me it beats the 1st and 3rd installments of Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" trilogy by far and beats the 2nd one by just a little bit. First the quality of the movie, in term of directing and picture, was really good. This movie was one of the best 3-D movie of the year. The special effects were done very good. Second, choosing "Marc Webb", a director who has never directed an action movie before, was a smart and bold move ,and it paid off. The way the movie was split into two 'sub-movies' was nice. The first part was "Webb"'s strongest point, where all the drama and romance laid down. The second part was the action scenes, where "Webb" entered an 'uncharted territory'. And being his first time, I think he did a very good job.
"Denis Leary".
"Chris Zylka".
The opening scene was a very good way to open the film and even more laying the road for future sequels. The movie's trailers said that they would tackle a subject ,that Sam Raimi's trilogy never truly tackled, and it was "The Untold Truth"(about his parents). And here comes my only negative point regarding this movie. They came around it by showing us 'Dr. Ratha' threatening 'Dr. Curtis Connors' to do what he is told or he will face the same fate as 'Richard' and 'Mary Parker'.However, they never truly tackled it. But I'm sure it will be explored more in future sequels. Many criticized that many elements from "Sam Raimi"'s 'Spider-Man' were repeated, but for me it wasn't a problem. Since it was a reboot, it was totally normal that things were going to be re-mentioned, but they were able to make them the film's own things. I admired how they performed the stunts rather than making computer-generated stunts.
"Andrew Garfield".
"Rhys Ifans".
Loved that "Peter" is the one that made and improved artificial web-shooters, and that showed us how 'Peter' is a science nerd. I liked how "Webb" made us , in some scenes see what its like for 'Spider-Man' to climb buildings and to fly. One of the best movie scenes was when "Peter Parker" saved the little boy off the bridge and the way he did it. The last battle was good, though not epic. But the 'comic book moment' for me was when all tower cranes in New York aligned to help injured 'Spider-Man' reach 'Oscorp'.
"Emma Stone" and "Andrew Garfield".
"Andrew Garfield".
Let's start with the stars of the movie. "Andrew Garfield" was a far better 'Peter/Spider-Man' than "Tobey Maguire", and he is a very good actor and a dedicated one, since he performed many of his character's stunts. Many critics agreed that he portrayed the true 'Spider-Man' that everybody knows in the comic books. "Emma Stone" , who I already see as a great actress, was perfect as 'Gwen Stacy'. "Garfield" and "Stone"'s chemistry was the thing that made this movie a huge hit. Being a real couple, definitely helped and made their scenes so much real and genuine. "Rhys Ifans" did a good job as the evil, but they could of have brought more to the table and executed the idea much better. "Sally Field" and "Martin Sheen" were great as Uncle and Aunt 'Ben' and 'May'. "Denis Leary" was also great and his character's death was not something I anticipated but it was essential for the continuation of future sequels. Hope to see more of "Irrfan Khan" in the sequel, and hope we will see a better and a new 'Norman Osbourne'.We should mention that "Chris Zylka" played 'Flash Thompson' the kid who bullies'"Peter' and loved that his character was more involved in this movie.
In the end, Sony's decision to reboot the franchise was a good decision. I hope , now that they have laid down the ground and basis of the series by repeating many previous ideas, that they will approach future sequels in a new and different way than the Sam Raimi's trilogy. Especially since 'Mary Jane',
Harry Osbourne', 'Norman Osbourne', and 'Elektro' are being cast or have been cast. S. And many rumors are surfacing that the infamous death of  'Gwen Stacy' will be tackled in one of the sequels.
