2012's Top 18 Movie Moments

2012's Top 18 Movie Moments:

What a year! 2012 has been exceptionally good for filmmakers as well as movie lovers. From high budget movies to low budget ones, from superhero movies to love movies, 2012 was one of the best years in the movie industry's history. This year there were many moments where I was amazed by the scenes I saw, so I wanted to share with you and make a list of the "Best 13 Movie Moments" in 2012.
So here we go the "2012's Top 18 Movie Moments" in my opinion:

17)Wrath of the Titans: Maze Scene.

Sam Worthington, Rosamund Pike, and Toby Kebbell in "Wrath of The Titans".
The scene ,when "Hephaestus"(Billi Nighy) sends "Perseus"(Sam Worthington), "Andromeda"(Rosamund Pike), and  "Agenor"(Toby Kebbell) to the "Labyrinth"(aka the maze), was the one that made "Wrath of the Titans" be one of the "Best movies of 2012". I was already excited to see it, when I saw it in the trailer, and I was not disappointed with its execution. It was the best scene of this movie.

17)Pitch Perfect: Rebel Wilson.

Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp in "Pitch Perfect".
"Pitch Perfect" is was included in my "Best 20 Movies of 2012", and the main reason for that was simply a hilariously funny actress called "Rebel Wilson". Every Scene she was in, people had to laugh .From the moment she introduced her character , to the "Horizontal Running" , and being 'shot'( being hit by an ice cream), "Rebel Wilson" was funny and never once was she annoying.

16)Ted: Motel Fight.

"Seth Macfarlane" as "Ted" in "Ted".
Any scene, that includes a huge guy fighting with a CGI teddy bear and loosing, must be acknowledged. This scene was hilariously fun to watch. Although in "Review: Ted", I criticized this scene for being too 'silent', I still enjoyed it and thought it was one of the highlights of this movie.

15)The Amazing Spider-Man: Tower Cranes Scene.

"Andre Garfield" as "Spider Man" in "The Amazing Spider-Man".
The scene where all tower cranes align to help injured "Spider Man" reach "Oscorp" was 'the comic book moment' in this movie, according to my review "Review: The Amazing Spider-Man". The effects were great, the shooting angles were great, and to let us see that the whole city is helping him was really nice to see.

14)The Bourne Legacy: Escaping from the cops.

"Rachel Weisz" in "The Bourne Legacy".
After "Marta"(Rachel Weisz) shouts for "Aaron"(Jeremy Renner) to run, after the police was ready to capture him, started a scene that was just really cool and great to watch. From "Marta" running away from the cops and running into a family, to "Aaron" following her on the roof, and finally jumping and saving her, this scene was just executed perfectly. Too bad the bike chase scene was a downer compared to this one.

13)The Hunger Games: Rues's Death.

"Jennifer Lawrence" and "Amandla Stenberg" in "The Hunger Games".
The Death of "Rue"(Amandla Stenberg) was one of the most emotional scenes in "The Hunger Games". To see the dazzling acting from "Jennifer Lawrence" and the way she put the flowers around "Rue"'s body was really great. Furthermore, this scene was vital for this movie and for future movies.

*12)Les Miserables: I Dreamed A Dream.

"Anne Hathaway" in 'Les Miserables'.
Becoming 'Best Actress in a Supporting Role' at the 2013 Oscars, proves that "Anne Hathaway" did a great job as 'Fantine' in the movie. But the moment she starts to sing the famous song 'I Dreamed A Dream', it was magical. The emotions she conveyed and singing live added this realism touch to it.

11)The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Breaks Batman.

"Tom Hardy" as "Bane" and "Christian Bale" as "Batman" in "The Dark Knight Rises".
This scene was the one of the most anticipated scenes of 2012. Many "Batman" fans debated the way it was going to be done and how it was going to be incorporated in the movie's plot. Well fans were pleased and happy with the way it was executed and as usual "Christopher Nolan" did a great job. First, showing us the vulnerability of "Batman/Bruce Wayne"(Christian Bale) during this fight, and second showing us "Bane"'s(Tom Hardy) physical and mental strength.

*10)The Impossible: Tsunami.

"The Impossible".
This was one of the most anticipated moments, when this film was announced. And it definitely did not disappoint. Many went to watch this scene in particular, but what they didn't realize is the greatness of this movie. This scene was made CGI free. A minature of the hotel was build, and the wave was done using real water. And both "Naomi Watts" and "Tom Holland" spent 6 weeks shooting in tanks their respective scenes
(Check Out "Review: The Impossible").

9)Skyfall: Opening Credit Sequence.

"Skyfall"'s Opening Credit Sequence Image.
"Skyfall" is the best "James Bond" movie, in box office terms raising more than 1 billion dollars. And the movie is regarded one of the best 2012 movie. The movie as a whole was great, but what amazed me the most was the opening credit scene. The effects were awesome and great, and I was amazed by the whole thing. What made it even more great and special was adding Adele's magnificent performance the song "Skyfall".

*8)Silver Linings Playbook: Dinner Scene.

"Bradley Cooper" and "Jennifer Lawrence".
This scene was when we are first introduced to 'Tiffany'(Jennifer Lawrence), and what an introduction. From the moment she appears, Jennifer Lawrence steals the show. It was a funny and enjoyable scene and one of the highlights of this hilarious movie(Check Out "Review: Silver Linings Playbook").

7)21 Jump Street: Jonah Hill's Shooting Skills.

"Jonah Hill" in "21 Jump Street".
"21 Jump Street" in my opinion was the best comedy of 2012, mostly because of "Channing Tatum" and "Jonah Hill". But at the end when they capture "Mr Walters"(Rob Riggle), who shot "Jenko"(Channing Tatum), "Schmidt"(Jonah Hill) shoots "Mr. Walters" in his groin severing his penis. This scene was amazingly and hilariously funny, that is why it is one of the best movie moments in 2012

*6)Argo: Escape from the Airport.

"Argo".
'Argo', winner of the 'Best Picture' award at the 2013 Oscars, is a great movie from beginning to end. But this scene, when 'Joe Stafford'(Scoot McNairy) tried to convince the Iranian guard to believe their scheme was just thrilling and exciting to watch. And worthy of 6th place on this list(Check Out "Review: Argo").

5)The Amazing Spider-Man: Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.

"Andrew Garfield" and "Emma Stone" in "The Amazing Spider-Man".
I think the people who casted both "Andrew Garfield" and "Emma Stone" in this movie in their respective roles are geniuses. Not only did they add so much to this movie, for me they were the best on screen couple of 2012. There chemistry was electrifying, and every scene they were in was just enjoyable. We must mention , to all ladies and gentleman, that they are also a couple in reality.

4)The Dark Knight Rises: The Final Chase Scene.

The Final Chase Scene in "The Dark Knight Rises".

"The Dark Knight Rises" was a great film, thus being the "Best Movie of 2012" in my opinion. But the final chase scene was just stupendously good. From the angles of shooting, to the effects, and the stunts, these scene could'nt have been done better. Was really happy that the it included all "Batman" vehicles.(The Tumbler, The Batmobile and The Bat).

*3)The Impossible: Final Scene.

"Naomi Watts", "Ewan McGregor", "Tom Holand", "Samuel Joslin" and "Oaklee Pendergrast".
This scene is one of the most emotional scenes I have ever watched in my entire life. From the impeccable acting from all the cast especially "Naomi Watts" and "Tom Holland" , to the music ("He Looked So Happy" from 'The Impossible Suundtrack'), to the directing, and the different meanings, this scene is definetly one of the best moments of 2012(Check Out "Review: The Impossible").

2)Marvel's The Avengers: Heroes Assemble.

"Scarlett Johanson", "Chris Hemsworth", "Chris Evans", "Jeremy Renner",
"Robert Downey Jr." and "Mark Ruffalo" in "Marvel's The Avengers".
Of course, the highest grossing movie of 2012(grossing more than 1.5 billion dollars) must have one of the "Best Movie Moments of 2012".The Ultimate scene and moment that everyone was waiting for, ever since this movie was announced, was when all superheroes (Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye) assemble together to save the planet. And really, "Josh Wehdon" made this moment an iconic moment in movie's history.

1)The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey : Riddle Game.

"Andy Serkis" and "Martin Freeman" in "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey".
As it was mentioned in "Review: The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey", this scene was the most anticipated scene of 2012. All 'middle earth' fans were waiting to see on the big screen the way "Bilbo Baggins"(Martin Freeman) and "Gollum"(Andy Serkis) met and how 'the ring' came to be with "Bilbo". And it was amazing. The scene was perfect and enjoyable. "Peter Jackson" did a great job.

I hope you liked this post, and I would like to wish a you a Happy New Year filled with joy and happiness. And hope 2013 will be a good year for movie as it was in 2012.
