        After missing it during its run in the theaters, I had to watch 'Ted', especially after it broke the record of "Highest Grossing original R-rated comedy of all time". And now I see what makes this movie one of the best comedy movies I have ever seen.

        In 1985, in the suburbs of Boston, lived a young 'John Bennett'(Brett Manley), who had a difficult time making friends. After, his parents bring him a teddy bear; he names him 'Ted' and wishes for it to become fully alive. The next morning, his wish comes true and 'Ted' becomes an instant phenomenon in the US. 27 years later, a grown up 'John Bennett'(Mark Wahlberg) and 'Ted'(Seth Macfarlane) now live together. Along with them lives 'Lori Collins'(Mila Kunis), 'John''s girlfriend of 4 years. When the time comes for 'John' and 'Lori''s 4 year anniversary, 'Ted' becomes a huge barrier for their relationship's success, according to 'Lori'. Here both 'John' and 'Ted' will face obstacles in maintaining their relationship as 'friends forever'. In this movie we will meet also 'Rex'(Joel McHale), 'Lori''s boss who is in love with her, 'Donny'(Giovanni Ribisi), the man who has admired 'Ted' ever since he was a kid, 'Robert'(Aedin Mincks), 'Donny''s son, 'Guy'(Patrick Warburton), 'John''s gay coworker, and 'Tammy-Lynn'(Jessica Barth), 'Ted''s lover.

        This movie is the funniest movie of the year and the one of the funniest movies ever. I think 'Universal Studio''s gamble on "Seth Macfarlane" new and original story paid off big time."Seth Macfarlane" also directed this movie, and it was his directorial debut. And I thought he did an amazing job, in directing the movie and in the screenplay. The story overall isn't a very 'unfamiliar' ,but the 'bro-mance' between 'Ted' and 'John' vs. the romance of 'John' and 'Lori'; moreover, the constant comedic moments were the things that made this movie shine. The opening scene was enjoyable and a good way to open the movie. The scenes where both 'Ted' and 'John' smoke pot was hilariously funny. And the song that they sing together ,whenever a lightning strikes is really funny and catchy! The party of 'Ted' could have been funnier; nonetheless, it was enjoyable. The fight scene was really so funny that I watched it again. Though I thought that it was odd that no one spoke during the fight until the TV fell on 'John'. The climax chase was interesting and unpredictable. And the revival of 'Ted' was really welcomed, though it kind of was a 'cliché', but that really didn't bother me at all, since no one obviously wanted him dead.

        "Mark Wahlberg" is one of my favorite actors in recent times. And doing his film proved to all that he is a versatile actor and that he can do all types of roles: action, comedy, and romance. "Seth Macfarlane" also did a great job as the voice of 'Ted'. It must be noted that "Seth" is known for voicing the main characters in 'The Family Guy'."Mila Kunis" is as usual perfect and beautiful. She showed us why she is a funny and great actress."Giovanni" and "Aiden" were funny villains, "Patrick" was funny and bringing "Ryan Reynolds" as his boyfriend was totally unexpected and funny. And "Jessica Barth" was annoyingly funny as 'Ted''s lover , and I loved that they made a human lover for him. Other actors to be noted: "Jessica Stroup" and "Ginger Gonzaga", who played 'Lori''s co-workers and "Laura Vandervoort", who played 'John''s co-worker. "Alex Borstein" and "Ralph Garman" played 'John''s mother and father.

         In the end, I can see now how 'Ted' was able to break the record of 'Highest Grossing R-rated original movie', which was previously held by the funniest movie ever 'The Hangover'. And I do advice everyone to watch it, even if you watch it when everyone is sleeping and you wake them up because of your constant laughing! I can't wait for 'Ted 2', which an obvious move by 'Universal Pictures' after the huge and unexpected success of this movie.
