A movie based on a true story. And this movie turned out to be one of the best emotional and love story
movies I have ever seen.

After being in a car accident, 'Leo Collins'(Channing Tatum) must try to let his wife 'Paige Collins'(Rachel McAdams) fall in love with him again all over again. after she sustained a head injury that lead to loosing her memories. A mission that is easier said than done since he faces many obstacles along the way.First, 'Paige' starts to question why she left her family and her previous life.Second, 'Paige''s family, 'Rita Thornton'(Jessica Lange) her mother, 'Bill Thornton'(Sam Neill) her father, and 'Gwen'(Jessica McNamee) her sister, take advantage of her 'loss of memory' of the last past few years to regain her, same as 'Jeremy'(Scott Speedman), her ex-fiance. These obstacles will make him sometimes stop trying to make 'Paige' keep her 'vow' , and will allow 'Paige' to know her true destiny.

The story is one of the best stories that I have ever seen for a 'romantic movie' genre. Furthermore, it's one of these movies where the movie matches the story itself, thus making it a great movie to watch. What probably makes the movie exciting is that it is based on a true story, and people like to watch these kind of rare stories and 'what it might have been' . For me, there is enough comedic moments , same as the dramatic moments. There are some things that could have been improved and explored more. For example, the relationship between 'Paige' and Dr. 'Fishman'(Wendy Crewson), which was like kind of stopped and forgotten about halfway through the movie.I loved the tone of the movie that was right, not too romantic yet not too dramatic, which was the best way to do this film. The wedding scene of 'Paige' and 'Leo' was really good and I bought it. The 'repeat' of the first date between 'Paige' and 'Leo' was also a very nice scene and a clever way to show us how their relationship is without needing to do it in a 'cliche way'. And the final scene was 'somehow' unexpected and surprising in a good way, in the sense that I didn't expect that they would return to each other in this way.

As usual, these days "Rachel McAdams" is 'the princess of romantic drama movies'. Her acting is impeccable, she truly gets into her roles and performs them at a high level. Still cannot believe that she's the same person who played the mean girl in 'Mean Girls'. "Channing Tatum", though I prefer him in 1) comedy movies, 2) action movies, and 3) dramatic and romantic movies, he did a really good job and genuinely surprised me. I thought he will be overshadowed by "Rachel"'s performance, but he proved many wrong. The supporting cast were good and kept up with the high level of acting that were displayed by "Rachel" and "Channing".
In the end, this movie is one of the best romantic drama movies that have been made in the last couple of years, and was able to break this pattern. A pattern where the story is really good but the film's execution and final product turns out to be a little bit disappointing. So I encourage everyone to watch it.
