'Pitch Perfect' Poster.

'Bridesmaids' meets 'Glee; is what I would describe this movie. A great comedy musical movie, that is definitely worth watching.

"Anna Kendrick".
"Rebel Wilson".
After last year's humiliating loss at the ICCA finals, the 'Bellas' an all-female acappella group, whose leaders are 'Aubrey'(Anna Camp) and 'Chloe'(Brittany Snow), must recruit new members to the group for a chance to redeem themselves at this years ICCA finals. 'Becca'(Anna Kendrick) was forced to join Barden University by her father(John Hickey), and takes an internship at the school's radio station, were she meets freshman 'Jesse'(Skylar Astin). After 'Becca''s father promise to take her 'Los Angeles' if she join a club and get involved in it, she joins the 'Bellas'. Along with her, 'Fat Amy'(Rebel Wilson), 'Lily'(Hana Mae Lee), 'Cynthia-Rose'(Ester Dean), and 'Stacie'(Alexis Knapp). They must face their main rivals at the university 'Treblemakers', who's main voice is 'Bumper'(Adam DeVine) and later joined by 'Jesse'. We also must mention 'Benjamin'(Ben Platt), 'Tommy'(Christopher Mintz-Plasse), 'Donald'(Utkarsh Ambudkar). Also "Elizabeth Banks" and "Jonathan Michael Higgins" as reporters and 'Kimmy-Jin'(Jinhee Joung).
"Anna Camp" and "Brittany Snow".
"Adam DeVine", "Utkarsh Ambudkar"
, and "Skylar Astin".
This movie has a combination of music and comedy. Though this combination may not appeal to everyone, but trust me when I tell you that the producers and directors were able to do a great with this combination in this movie. The plot of the movie was continuously flowing well, even though it had it's problems. The director could have done a better job transitioning from one scene to another. The music were great, like "Just The Way You Are/Just A Dream" and their final performance mash up "Price Tag/Don't You(Forget About Me)/Give Me Everything/Just the Way You Are/Party in the USA/Turn the Beat Around". Doing an acapella version of 'Universal Studio''s theme music was really cool. The Movie opened right away with tthe 'Bella's and what happens to them at the previous year's ICCa finals. The song that they perform is really catchy and at the same time annoying. The pace of the movie was acceptable. The relationship between 'Becca' and 'Jesse' had growth and development, which was a good thing. The auditions scenes and the 'riff-off' scene was my favorite scene of the movie. The ending was predictable but at the same time entertaining.
"Rebel Wilson" and "Anna Camp".
"Skylar Astin" and "Anna Kendrick".
Moving on to the cast, first of all I think "Anna Kendrick" was a great choice. She is a great actress and I think she gave her character the edginess to differentiate her from other similar characters. "Skylar Astin" was a refreshing choice. He did a very good job portraying his character in both comedic and dramatic scenes, though I preferred him in the comedic tone. And we shouldn't forget that they had great chemistry right from the beginning. I am a fan of "Brittany Snow", and to see her in this movie doing a great job was really great. "Anna Camp" was a great casting choice and she was perfect as 'Aubrey', and I constantly laughed when she barfed. "Hana Mae Lee", "Ester Dean", "Alexis Knapp" did good job portraying the different members of the 'Bellas'. I thought that 'Benjamin'(Ben Platt) had a bigger role in the film, and I was disappointed that they did not show us his character much. 'Bumper'(Adam DeVine) and "Donald"(Utkarsh Ambudkar) were great characters for the 'Treblemakers', and 'Kimmy-Jin'(Jinhee Joung) and 'Tommy'(Christopher Mintz-Plasse) were good additions to the film.
"Jonathan Michael Higgins" and
"Elizabeth Banks".
"Anna Camp", "Brittany Snow",
"Anna Kendrick" and "Alexis Knapp".
The inclusion of "Elizabeth Banks" and "Jonathan Michael Higgins" as the commentators of the ICCAs was 50-50. Sometimes funny and sometimes useless. Nice to see "Freddie Stroma" in a comedy movie, after being involved in the Harry Potter Franchise, and "John Hickey" was convincing as 'Becca''s father.Yeah, I know I haven't talked about a main character for this film 'Fat Amy'. For me, and I know many share my feelings, that without "Rebel Wilson"'s character and without "Rebel Wilson" herself, no one would have watched this film. Since it would have changed the whole film's dynamic. "Rebel" is a great comedian, we already saw her ability in 'Bridesmaids' and 'What to Expect When Your Expecting', but in this movie she had a bigger role compared the films mentioned. She was so funny, just seeing the "Horizontal Running" is enough to show us that this actress has huge potential.
In the end, 'Pitch Perfect' is a movie that you don't expect to be that great. But it is a great movie and one of the best comedies of 2012, and I am sure that we will see "Rebel Wilson" in future comedy movies. And I am hoping that the rumors for 'Pitch Perfect 2' are true.
