Official 'Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader' Poster.
The third installment of the series may not be the most groundbreaking or best one of the whole series, but 'The Voyage of the Dawn Treader' manages to hold its ground and entertain.

"Skandar Keynes".
"Georgie Henley".
Three years after the events of 'Prince Caspian', 'Edmund Pevensie'(Skandar Keynes) and 'Lucy Pevensie'(Georgie Henley) are staying with their annoying cousin 'Eustace Scrubb'(Will Poulter); while there older brother 'Peter'(William Moseley) and 'Susan'(Anna Popplewell) are now living in America. While hanging out in one of their rooms, a magical painting of a ship in the ocean transport the three kids to the ocean of 'Narnia', where they once again meet 'Prince Caspian'(Ben Barnes) now King of 'Narnia' and the valiant 'Reepicheep'(Simon Pegg). 'Caspian' informs them that they are on a mission aboard the 'Dawn Treader' to rescue the seven Lords of 'Narnia', who were banished previously by his uncle 'Miraz'. But a voyage that seems easy at the surface will be a difficult one, especially since darkness is descending upon the land and it’s up to 'Edmund' and 'Lucy' to take the place of their older brother and sister and rescue 'Narnia'. Will they succeed and triumph over this evil lurking while getting over their personal problems and 'Eustace' annoyance of being in 'Narnia'? Other characters include "Liam Neeson" voicing the infamous 'Aslan', captain of the 'Dawn Treader' 'Lord Drinian'(Gary Sweet), 'Lilliandil'(Laura Bent) the Blue star shining upon 'Ramandu''s island, wizard 'Coriakin'(Billie Brown), lone islander 'Gael'(Arabelle Morton), her father 'Rhince'(Arthur Angel), and a cameo appearance by "Tilda Swinton" as the evil white witch 'Jadis'.

"Will Poulter".
"Ben Barnes", "Skandar Keynes"
and "Georgie Henley".
After the lackluster and surprising box office performance of 'The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian' many problems in production arose. Filming and production were delayed many times and Walt Disney' stepped back from production due to budgetary problems that were too high in its opinion. After negotiations, '20th Century Fox' took the distribution rights of this movie. Overall the movie is a step down from the previous two movies, where it lacked this magical flair and feel that the first two movies had. Still it had many moments where this feeling that fans loved in the series were found, which will be later discussed.  The direction the story took was obvious in trying to continue the series losing two characters that were very much defining in the series and trying to move on smoothly while introducing new characters and expanding the world of 'Narnia', which was done successfully when looking at things in the bigger picture and disregarding the few problems that it had.
"Liam Neeson", "Ben Barnes",
"Georgie Henley", "Skandar Keynes"
, "Simon Pegg" and "Will Poulter".
"Michael Apted"('The World in Not Enough') stepped into the directing seat instead of "Andrew Adamson"(who remained as a producer), which surely affected the continuation. Still "Michael" did perform a decent job bringing his style to add to the movie experience. The effects of this movie seemed at times a bit underwhelming, and the 3D post-conversion didn't add that much to the experience. 'Narnia' writers’ duo "Christopher Markus" and "Stephen McFeely" collaborated with "Michael Petroni"('Queen of Damned') to perform a solid story full of 'Narnia' mythology. However, at many times the story trajectory took other roads in order to deal with many characters development, which wasn't smoothly infused with the main story as the previous installments. Composer "David Arnold"('Casino Royale' and 'Quantum of Solace') gave a solid score that backed up the movie and re-used many beautiful symphonies and scores that helped fans of the series reminisce on what made this series one of the best.

"Tilda Swinton".
The beginning of the movie successfully allowed refreshing the audiences where each of the main characters is at that point and introduce us the new character 'Eustace'. The taking of 'Edmund', 'Lucy' and 'Eustace' to Narnia was truly one of the best scenes of this movie, where it truly resonated with the watery theme of the movie and felt very much natural. Thereafter, the movie took the natural course of progression, still many elements of the movie and subplots were incorporated in a mediocre manner especially that of the little girl 'Gael'. As for the character development of main ones was acceptable, while that 'Eustace' being the more visible one and the most effective. Other highlight scenes were 'Eustace' and 'Reepicheep' interaction scenes, cameo appearance of 'Peter', 'Susan', and 'Jadis', 'Lucy' using the book in the library and final climax battle scene. However the best scene of the whole movie was towards the end when 'Caspian', 'Edmund', 'Lucy', 'Eustace' and 'Reepicheep' meet 'Aslan' at the border of his country. The themes and goodbyes were really touching and the effects were the best of the entire movie.

"Liam Neeson", "Georgie Henley",
"Skandar Keynes" and "Ben Barnes".
"Skandar Keynes" and "Georgie Henley" proved their ability to lead the series, though the absence of "William Moseley" and "Anna Popplewell" did affect the whole dynamic that fans and people were used to. "Skandar Keynes" performed his best in this installment. "Georgie Henley", while this wasn't her best, did deliver and as usual was the star of the movie. While "Will Poulter" delivers a breakthrough performance with a character that audience love to hate and where his story arc took an enjoyable ride and twists. "Ben Barnes" again suited very much the character and performed when needed. Again many would have loved that 'Aslan' would have had a bigger role in the story but his appearance was effective and touching, especially with the performance of "Liam Neeson" voicing it. "Simon Pegg" replaced "Eddie Izzard" voicing 'Reepicheep', but still gave us what we loved about this character in the previous installment. "Laura Bent" portrayal of Lilliandil' was short, the late "Billie Brown" gave a good performance, and "Gary Sweet" was convincing as the captain of the 'Dawn Treader'. "Tilda Swinton" as usual dazzles us as 'Jadis', even if her portrayal was short.

Whether or not we will ever see a continuation of the series or if it will be rebooted, fans of the series must wait and see what the producers might decide; however, it was recently announced 'The Silver Chair' will be the fourth movie to be made.
