Official 'Lone Survivor' Poster.
One of the best big screen adaptations of a real story war film ever, 'Lone Survivor' successfully cover all aspects of what makes a fitting war movie.
"Taylor Kirsch", "Mark Wahlberg",
"Ben Foster" and "Emile Hirsch".
"Mark Wahlberg".
A movie adaptation, from a real life story, that talks about the life threatening and fatale journey that a U.S. Navy Seal took. On June 8, 2005, a U.S. Navy Seal surveillance team named SEAL Team 10 is tasked in a joint military operation to take down Taliban leader 'Ahmad Shah'(Youssef Azami) and distort his growing militia. The Navy Seals operative sniper SO2 'Marcus Luttrell'(Mark Wahlberg), on ground leader LT 'Michael P. Murphy'(Taylor Kitsch), communication specialist  SO2 'Danny Dietz'(Emile Hirsch) and sonar specialist SO2 'Mathew Axelson'(Ben Foster) will be put to a huge test when their mission gets compromised. But it doesn’t take long for this problemto put them in a very difficult spot, when they get pursued constantly across a mountainous region and are always under fire. Other characters include Lieutenant Commander 'Erik S. Kristensen'(Eric Bana), Machinist's mate 'Shane Patton'(Alexander Ludwig), 'Gulab'(Ali Suliman) Pashtun villager, 'Gulab''s son played by "Rohan Chand", field commander in Taliban group 'Taraq'(Sammy Sheikh), SO2 'James Suh'(Rich Ting), SOCS 'Daniel Hearly'(Dan Blizerian) and Sgt. 'Hasslert'(Jerry Ferrara).

"Taylor Kitsch".
"Eric Bana".
The movie is based on true events that occurred with survivor "Marcus Luttrell" and based on his 2007 book and memoir 'Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwings and the Lost Heroes of Seal Team 10'. What is impressive about the movie is that it is a movie that doesn’t hold back on the real events that occurred. This approach that was taken made the movie one of the most intense and emotionally draining war movies ever made. At one end it is a very a positive thing to audiences that are fond of such approaches, but for a normal audience it may be too much to handle. But that doesn’t hide the fact that the movie is truly one of the top notch movies of its genre. What "Marcus" and similar army men/women all over the world do is surely not easy, to fight terrorism and keep countries safe. So I'd like to pay tribute and thank you to every army men/women dead or alive who sacrificed their lives or body to keep us safe.

"Emile Hirsch".
"Ben Foster".
Director "Peter Berg" was just coming from the 2012 movie 'Battleship', whom for many was a disappointment, but the way he commends the army and his portrayal of them is commendable. He gives it all in his directing style and his no holding back style truly shows his commitment to the project and hand. He also acted as a writer ('Friday Night Lights') as well as a producer ('The Losers'). The script in this movie is very respectful and very much the same as the events that occurred in the book as well as in real life. The predictability factor was not a setback since it wasn't the focus of the movie, unlike the action sequences which provided some of the best sequences and sound mixing. The music in this movie was a collaboration between "Steve Jablonsky"('Transformers: the Dark Moon') and American post rock band Explosions in the Sky. This union really brought out the sound mixing and editing, which allowed them to take Oscars nominations in both categories.

The pace of the movie as well as the time frame were spot on, though the interaction part in the third half of the movie was a bit lacking. Overall the movie relies on two main factors: the characters dynamics between them and the action sequences. The action sequences were one of the most intense, powerful and vigorous fighting scenes. The cast endured physical training to be able to authentically perform the stunts they would be able to perform. The accuracy in these scenes was a primary goal for the producers and director, and it shows when watching them and the emotionas one gets from them. It left all audiences on the edge of their seats when seeing the realistic physical and emotional damage army en can sustain during a war fight. Subsequently, one of my favorite scenes was the fight scene in the mountains that the four members endured.

"Mark Wahlberg".
As mentioned before one of the highlight of the movie was the characters and the interaction between all of them due to the high caliber of actors that portrayed them. Also the accomplished characters development that each of the four Navy Seals have was solid. Once again "Mark Wahlberg" proves that his ability to perform in various roles and lead a wonderful cast. "Taylor Kitsch" comes back on a high after the unfair backlash , that he got from critics in 'John Carter', giving a more than fitting performance. Same could be said to "Emile Hirsch", who always puts forward his best. "Ben Foster" deserves appraisal for his masterly portrayal and will be remembered for one of the most haunting moments ever witnessed on the big screen. Praise should be given to the supporting cast that included many talented actors such as "Eric Bana", "Alexander Ludwig", "Ali Suliman" and "Jerry Ferrara", whom thoroughly supported the main cast.
'Lone Survivor' is one of the best movie experiences that I personally ever witnessed, and would sure like many other to witness how true action and emotional portrayal can masterfully merge.
