      Listed as the best comedy of 2012 and One of the Best 2012 movies according to this blog "Click HERE". 21 years since its cancellation, "21 Jump Street" returns to the big screen with fresh faces that made this movie on of the best comedy movies ever.

       'Morton Schmidt'(Jonah Hill), the nerdy kid, and 'Greg Jenko'(Channing Tatum), the not so intelligent jock, are former classmates ,who years later become best friends when they meet in the police department and help each other to become police patrols. But one day , they both get assigned to a special division called '21 Jump Street' ,by Captain Dickson'(Ice Cube), and are tasked to track and stop a new synthetic drug spreading between teens. Going undercover as brothers 'Doug McQuaid'(Jonah Hill), the popular one, and 'Brad McQuaid'(Channing Tatum), the nerdy one , who weren't supposed to be their respective covers, meet 'Eric'(Dave Franco) dealer of the drugs, 'Molly'(Bri Larson), the eventual love interest of "Jonah Hill"'s character, 'Mr. Walters'(Rob Riggle) P.E teacher and drug supplier, 'Domingo'(DeRay Davis) leader of 'One Percenters', and 'Ms. Griggs'(Ellie Kemper) the chemistry teacher who is sexually attracted to "Channing Tatum"'s character.

      Being an adaptation to the same named TV series, I was afraid that it would be really boring and not funny, due to the failure of such attempts. Note also that the TV series has a more serious tone. I admit to never actually seeing the TV series ,that starred "Johnny Deep", but I already know its plot. Nevertheless, the film is really funny. I really liked the way that they introduced us to "Tatum"'s and "Hill"'s character without being boring, and they kept on showing us more about their relationship during the adventures that they had. They had so much chemistry together.There were many funny scenes and moments that were hilarious, but there are two that stuck in my mind. The first one is when "Hill"'s character realized that he was stabbed and then gets over it mainly because he was drunk. The second is when "Tatum"'s character is teaching "Hill"'s character how to slide over the car's hood, while the car is moving. Unlike "Tatum", "Hill"'s character broke the windshield and gets hurt. But at the end of the Limousin chase, when "Hill"'s character shoots "Riggle"'s character's 'package' , was a hilarious moment and one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

       "Jonah Hill" was phenomenal and really showed his acting and comedic skills. "Channing Tatum" was as usual very good and I usually like the films that he does. Though he has been in comedic films before ,such as 'She's The Man', this film really showed me that he can play funny roles. I was really shocked to see "Johnny Deep" in the movie and had no idea that he could be DEA agent 'Tom Hanson', from the original series, pretending a part of "Davis" character's gang. "Doug Penhall" (Peter Deluise) ,who is from the TV series, he too appeared, but the way they killed them was 50-50 for me. On one hand, they wanted to make closure for these characters, on the other I would have liked them to have appeared in future sequels. "Holly Robinson Peete" ,who plays "Officer Judy Hoffs" , from the Tv series, also made an appearance in the movie. Liked "Riggle"'s character and thought he did a good job. Liked to have seen "Ice Cube"'s character more, "DeRay Davis" played very nicely his character, "Dave Franco" ,who is "James Franco"'s brother, did a very nice job in this film, and "Ellie Kimper" was hilariously funny throughout the movie. But the one thing I didn't liked about this movie was"Bri Lanson" playing "Molly". They could have chosen a better actress. I have heard that "Emma Stone" was considered but dropped out due to schedule conflicts. Shame!! She would have made this film that much better.
       The movie proved to be a very successful comedy movie and was considered one of the best comedy movies ever. I am really glad that they are preparing for a sequel, and hope that it will have much more success, but I'm sure it will since both "Channing Tatum" and "Jonah Hill" are set to return.
