In general, 'Horrible Bosses 2' as a movie is a funny ride that manages to capture some of the funny glimpses of the first, but still feels a bit exhausting towards the end.

We meet up back with the three guys 'Nick Hendricks'(Jason Bateman), 'Dale Arbus'(Charlie Day) and 'Kurt Buckman'(Jason Sudeikis), who have been freed from their horrible bosses and now are trying to make it on their own. The group have created for themselves a new product, car-wash inspired, called 'Shower Buddy'. After a short period, they meet business man 'Burt Hanson'(Christopher Waltz), who admires their will and put forth an order. But when he quickly manages to screw up their deal, which they find that their only solution is to team up and find a new scheme in order to get rid of their problems. However, their plans will have to be adjusted after they realize that 'Burt''s son 'Rex Hanson'(Chris Pine) has his own shady plans of his own, which forces them to rethink everything. Other major characters include crime consultant 'Dean Jones'(Jamie Foxx) a.k.a 'Motherfucker', 'Dale''s old sex addict and man-eater boss Dr. 'Julia Harris'(Jennifer Aniston), 'Nick''s old psychopath boss 'David Harken'(Kevin Spacey), Detective 'Hatcher'(Jonathan Banks), 'Dale''s wife 'Stacy Arbus'(Lindsay Sloane) and cameo appearance by "Keegan-Michael Key" and "Kelly Stables".

After the box office success of the first movie and the acceptance of the audiences, the plan to produce a sequel to 'Horrible Bosses' was a given. But over the past few years, comedy sequels have been hitting a rough patch. These sequels have been ranging from less successful such as 'Hangover 2', 'Hangover 3', and 'Grown Ups 2', while others have been better than its predecessor(s) such as '22 Jump Street'. This sequel personally falls in the middle between the road of victory and misstep. While the movie does take advantage of the chemistry between the lead trio and the talent of its new and returning cast, yet in terms of story-telling and narrative expansion. The movie fails to perform new and fresh ways to improve upon it. This blend between these positives and negatives made drastic improvements from the first 2011 movie seem dim. That said the movie is still a fun journey to undertake and does its moments of fun and hilariousness.

"Sean Anders" takes over from original director "Seth Gordon". "Sean Anders" has experience in how to write a very enjoyable comedy movie like 'We're TheMillers' but his work as a director in 'Sex Drive' and 'That's My Boy' showed that he may find his career defining moment in this one. 'Horrible Bosses 2' is a huge improvement from his previous outings but surely opportunities will appear to find his career defining moment. His work on the screenplay along with "John Morris"('She's Out of My League' and 'We're The Millers') didn't add much in terms of a developed story, but it did improve upon many elements from the first picture and did take advantage of many items that helped the first movie. The screenplay also upped the interactions between the different characters. Composer "Christopher Lennertz"('Ride Along' and 'Think Like a Man Too') returned and provided again with a solid score. And the use of popular culture music, like it is custom for these genres, did help the movie make it more relative.

As previously specified, the movie does have a very thin story-line that is very straightforward. The movie does supply audiences with a bit of twists and turns that will grant audiences with enjoyment. The entire movie can be described as various shots that fluctuate in enjoyment that are joined together to form the movie. There were many highlight moments such as the sex addiction meeting, pre planning dream sequence, hotel scene and the chase sequences, which were the best moments of the entire movie. Also the interaction scenes between the characters were also the occasions where the film was able to show its potential. But the linkage between these elements and also the entire storyline removed from the quality of the end movie. There was a lack of character development for basically the entire characters, and the movie simply wanted to show where our characters have been and their status quo. Then they were given the role to shine and show their way of interaction with the others. But towards the end some might feel exhausted of the entire thing.

The memorable moments were thanks to the group of actors who performed in a very amusing way. "Jason Bateman", "Charlie Day" and "Jason Sudeikis" brought back the ludicrous chemistry and antics that made their characters so memorable and exciting to watch. This time around the trio did perform in the manner that is expected of them and were given new situations to take their characters. But script did little to help them elevate their characters and bring new things to the table, still their performances were enjoyable. "Jamie Foxx" character's capacity was substantially increased and positively used in a very entertaining manner. "Jennifer Aniston" was definitely the star of the movie and the reason why many returned to watch this movie. Her role is of course a bit diminished but still she was able to shine amongst its cast. "Kevin Spacey"'s return was at a cameo capacity, yet showed the brilliance of what he brought in the first installment. Newcomer "Christopher Waltz" was a great pick, though could have been given more to do. "Chris Pine"'s comedic timing was a surprise and his involvement also brought an aspect of freshness and entertainment. The remaining actors/actresses played well their characters, which were used to advance the story.

Ultimately, 'Horrible Bosses 2' tried to change few things up. Still the comedy sequel did fail to improve from the first, but is still a satisfying comedy movie.
