Most Anticipated Movies of 2015 - Part 1

Last year, movies like 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Fives Armies', 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1', 'Dawn of the Planet of Apes', 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy' were included in many of the lists of most anticipated movies of 2014, which many of them were success that many expected them to be and even exceeded these expectations. The year 2015 also includes even more movies that are worth noticing. And here we start with the First Part of Most Anticipated Movies of 2015.

20) Mad Max: Fury Road

Release Date: May 15, 2015.
Starring: Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Rosie-Hunnigton Whitley and Hugh Keays-Byrne.
Comment: 30 years after the last 'Mad Max' movie, fans get ready to go on another ride into the dystopian-post apocalyptic world. Creator and Director "George Miller" return to the franchise he has shaped over the past 3 movies, this time trying to revamp the franchise. Signs of its success are found seeing that actors "Tom Hardy", "Charlize Theron" and "Nicholas Hoult" star in the movie.

19) Spy(2015)

Release Date: May 22, 2015.
Starring: Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne, Jason Statham, Jude Law, Bobby Cannavale, Miranda Hart and Nargis Kakhri.
Comment: "Melissa McCarthy" reunites with 'Bridesmaides' director "Paul Fiege" and co-star "Rose Byrne" to bring us forward a new comedy, that hopefully better than the semi-funny movie 'Tammy'. The movie centers around a CIA agent that volunteers to go undercover in an effort to find her partner who has gone missing after a failed mission.

18) Taken 3

Release Date: January 21, 2015.
Starring: Liam Neeson, Forest Whitaker, Maggie Grace, Dougary Scott and Famke Janssen.
Comment: The last installment of the highly successful action franchise, that has defined the career of "Liam Neeson" as his most prominent role, is surely going to find success with it final lap. Though many are questioning whether changing the story could help. The movie sees 'Bryan Mills' accused of the murder of his wife trying to clear his name, while being pursued and followed.

17) The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials

Release Date: September 18, 2015.
Starring: Dylan O'Brian, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Ki Hong Lee, Aiden Gillen, Nathalie Emannuel, Alexander Flores, Patricia Clarckson, Lili Taylor and Giancarlo Esposito.
Comment: After being the surprise success generating more than $ 330 million worldwide over a reported budget of only $ 34 million, 20th Century Fox quickly announced a sequel for the surprise 'The Maze Runner'. Stars "Dylan O'Brian", "Kaya Scodelario" and "Thomas Brodie-Sangster" will be joined by 'Game of Thrones' stars "Aiden Gillen" and "Nathalie Emmanuel".

16) The Divergent Series: Insurgent

Release Date: March 20, 2015
Starring: Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet, Ansel Elgort, Ray Stevenson, Naomi Watts, Octavia Spences, Zoe Kravitz, Maggie Q and Jai Courntey.
Starring the star of the year "Shailene Woodley", along with "Theo James" and "Kate Winslet", Comment: 'Divergent' was sure to become a success, justifying the announcement of the subsequent sequels. In the sequel 'Insurgent' sees 'Tris' and 'Four' on the run from 'Jeanine Mathews'. The movie also sees the addition of award winning stars "Naomi Watts" and "Octavia Spencer".

15) Everest(2015):

Release Date: September 18, 2015.
Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal, Keira Knightley, Jason Clarke, Sam Worthington, Josh Brolin and Robin Wright.
Comment: The movie has been in pre-production hell for so long, that when work on the movie started it was a relief. The story is based on the 1996 disastrous expedition to Mount Everest, which lead to the death of several climbers. And seeing the amount of talent in the cast, this action-thriller movie is one to look forward to.

14) Pitch Perfect 2

Release Date: May 15, 2015.
Starring: Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Ester Dean, Alexis Knapp, Adam DeVine, Hailee Steinfeld, Katie Seagel and Elizabeth Banks.
Comment: Back in 2012, 'Pitch Perfect' was one of the best comedies of the years and the surprise movie of that year. But with comedy movies, the success rates of the sequel matching the glory of the first isn't so good. But with the return of the main cast, along with some new additions and "Elizabeth Banks" directing the movie, there is some optimism.

13) Ant-Man:

Release Date: July 17, 2015.
Starring: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Micheal Pena and Michael Douglas.
Comment: 'Ant-Man' may be the true indicator on whether Marvel Studio may be able to launch new movies to find its new faces of its cinematic universe now that its previous actors may not be available. Coming directly after 'Marvel's The Avengers' sequel, pressure on the movie will be high, especially since the process of making the movie wasn't that optimistic seeing the original director left.

12) In the Heart of the Sea

Release Date: March 15, 2015.
Starring: Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Tom Holland, Ben Whishaw, Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson and Michelle Fairly.
Comment: The trailers that has been released about this movie has been more than promising. The movie depicts the story of whale-ship Essex's journey, when suddenly it gets attacked by large and enraged sperm whale that leaves the crew shipwrecked. The combination of the high skilled actors and director "Ron Howard" makes this movie's potential very high.

11) The Fantastic Four

Release Date: August 7, 2015.
Starring: Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Jaime Bell and Toby Kebbell.
Comment: 20th Century Fox decided to reboot the franchise, that has been recently done back in two movies in 2005 and 2007, which were sort of a disappointment. Director "Josh Trank" has been given the task to reboot this franchise in a more grounded manner, while choosing an array of upcoming stars. The prospects of this reboot looks positive, especially since a sequel has already been announced.

Honorable Mentions:

Hotel Transylvania 2

San Andreas

London Has Fallen

Fifty Shades of Grey
